Vetiver bowl

Description

Vetiver bowl are handwoven in Madagascar using the root of vetiver grass. The vetiver bowl have an organic tasseled appearance and an earthy aroma. The grass is extracted from the earth before the root is separated, washed, dried and woven into the intricate bowl. The unique, handwoven Vetiver bowl may be used as a functional, decor or wall piece. Vetiver is a tropical grass, originally grown on the island of Madagascar to alleviate soil erosion. Today, it is sought after for its oil which is widely used in perfumes and aromatherapy.
