Description
The new indigo cloth are handwoven in Ivory Coast, West Africa. Narrow strips of cotton cloth are woven on a loom before being sewn together to form a larger cloth. The new indigo cloth may display a color in stripes or decorative features woven into the cloth. Indigo cloth has been used as an integral part of daily life in West Africa for generations. Each cloth bears a character, which adds to its authenticity. The indigo cloth have endless uses and may be used as a towel, bed throw, sarong or table cloth. The cloth may even be placed on the wall or a single piece may be used to make numerous scatter cushions.
