Traditional Isicholo hat worn by Zulu woman during ceremonial occasions. Isicholo are constructed by weaving grass into a unique shape, covering the woven structure with fabric before hand sewing the cloth to the woven frame. African glass beads may be beaded by hand in bright, geometric designs around the base of the hat. Isicholo exude African traditional and craftsmanship. They may be used functionally or as a wall or home decor piece.
