The Fulani cloth is handwoven in West Africa. Narrow strips of cotton cloth are woven on a loom before being sewn together to form a larger cloth. The cloth display a decorative design in deep blue, red and yellow. The Fulani cloth is a historical pastime where traditional weaving methods still apply today. The cloth has been used as an integral part of daily life in West Africa for generations. Each cloth bear their individual character and design thus making them unique. The Fulani cloth makes a stunning bed spread, throw or table cloth.

The history of the Fulani seems to begin with the Berber people of North Africa around the 8th or 11th century AD. As the Berbers migrated down from North Africa and mixed with the peoples in the Senegal region of West Africa the Fulani people came into existence.
