Accessory bag, available in a variety of blues, made from traditional Capulana cloth. Each bag is lined with a grey cotton fabric and may be used to store cosmetics, stationery or snacks. This income generating project evolved from a love for the colorful Capulana cloth (used widely in Mozambique) and a need to create sustainable employment in the impoverished local community of Tofo, Mozambique. Capulana cloth dates back to the 15th century and forms an integral part of Mozambican daily life. The brightly colored cloth is used as a skirt, dress, towel, baby carrier and almost anything a piece of cloth can be used for.
